My heart burst forth with longing

My heart bursts its banks, spilling beauty and goodness. I pour it out in a poem to the king, shaping the river into words:
Psalm 45 MSG
There is a beauty in waiting for God because when He comes, there is a bursting from within of incredible joy and comfort to know that it is done. My Father is here and His with us.

I Look to You O Lord

I Look to You...I literally will all my effort TURN to You my Father.

Psalms 143:8 NKJV

CAUSE me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning, For in You do I TRUST;

CAUSE me to know the way in which I should walk, For I LIFT UP my soul to You.

 Action:

I will make the time, I will find the time and fulfil this desire. We need to be intentional about who God is and the time we spend with Him. We have to move ourselves from just knowing to just doing it.

Psalm 46:5 NKJV

God is in the MIDST of her, she shall NOT BE MOVED; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

Be Desperate to meet with Him: He IS with THEE.

Psalm 5:8 NKJV

LEAD me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies: MAKE Your way STRAIGHT before my FACE.

I WILL set my FACE like FLINT! UNMOVING because You have become rear guard and shield.

Psalm 25:1 NKJV

To You, O Lord, I LIFT UP my SOUL.

Action:

My Soul will make it's boast in You, O Lord.

I will Look to You.

I WILL lift UP my VOICE and give You praise and DECLARE Your Goodness.

I WILL LOOK TO YOU!

My People have Forgotten Me...Days Wthout Number

Jeremiah ,2:32 "...days without number".

Welcome to day 5

God desires for you to live in intimate fellowship with Him, to experience His creative abilities, to express His wisdom in our relationship with Him.He wants to become your everyday, heavenly companion. One tried and tested method of controlling a life that threatens to spin out of control, is to give God top priority in your life.Listen to what He wants to say to you through His Holy Spirit.Allow His love to fill your heart. He wants to be your refuge, your peace, your provider and guide. He promised in His Word, never to leave you nor forsake you. With this assurance in your heart, you can face the future with confidence.

MEDITATION :
Observe sadly the space in which they had forgotten God.For many years during the reign of Manasses, which was 55 years..If you have forgotten God for a while, He invites you once again to ...come close.

James 4:8 "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you".

My People have Forgotten Me...

Jeremiah 2:32 "Yet My people have forgotten Me...."

Welcome to Devotion no. 4: Forgetting God

Some Bibles actually title this passage of scripture, .."The sin of forgetting God".

Jeremiah lays the blame of all their wickedness upon forgetting God.

I know all too well the feeling of rejection that comes with being forgotten.

Hosea 2:23 (c) "Then I will say to those who were not My people, You are My people!" And they will say, "You are my God".

This is not just your friend or partner, But God that has been forgotten by those for whom He died and sacrificed everything.

For the Christian:

Have you forgotten to spend time with God or has the business of living swallowed up and rationalised what is priority for you? God is saying, "My People" those who know Him and not the unsaved.

For the Seekers;

God loves you and has a plan for you. The bible says that Jesus Christ, God's Son laid down His life for you by dying on the cross and taking the sin of the world upon Him. God loves you so much, in that while we were still sinners (living without Him) He sent Jesus Christ to redeem you. If you ask Jesus Christ into your heart today. He will change you and make you whole.

The words...My people....are.... very personal.

MEDITATION:

The people's forgetfulness grieved God. He does not deserved to be treated like this.

QUESTION:

What daily reminders have you put in place to cultivate a relationship with God? I'm thinking of a song:" He was there all the time waiting patiently in love..."

My People Have Forgotten Me...Can a Bride forget her Attire?

Jeremiah 2:32 "...or a bride her attire..."

On her special day,

The bride to be looks forward to, amongst other things, looking like a princess in order to steal the attention and compliments of her visitors. We know that a huge amount of preparation and planning is in place not only for the wedding but most importance to the woman is her attire. She dreams of walking down the Isle in radiant elegance, dressed to impress.

What we wear indicates the importance we attach to the occasion.

Jeremiah is stating the obvious....that something of utmost importance to the bride....is NEVER absent-mindedly forgotten.

It would be a gross embarrassment if she came dressed inappropriately for the occasion. Moths and days before the want, the bride to be can think of nothing else but preparations for this major event of a lifetime.

What will possess her to forget her attire.

The scripture reminds us "...yet My people have forgotten Me days without number". I can't help but feel God's disappointment in this verse, almost like a wakeup call to shift focus back onto what is of utmost importance and worth remembering ....our relationship with God. Our desire to pursue a closer walk with Him.

He that has an ear......hear what Father speaks to your heart today.

Shalom

Can a virgin forget her ornaments?

Jeremiah 2:32 "Can a virgin forget her ornaments,
or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten Me days without number."

Jewelry is something many young girls love to have lots of. I remember, I loved having a ring on every finger. Today, one can make a choice to wear costume jewelry or the genuine gold or silver, depending on the occasion.

The bible character, Rebecca was given jewelry as a sign of favour. I have a friend who oftens says that she would feel lost without her jewelry.
Ornaments are also a symbol of wealth and it is used to enhance outside appearance. It's importance is often overated above things that really matter.
What is most important to you this day?

Encouragement:
Let us learn to give God priority above everything and watch Him move on our behalf in every area of our lives.

My People have forgotten Me.

My People Forget Me...

Jeremiah 2:32  King James Bible
Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

When a friend has left and we do not see them; we know they have left tokens of their goodness that reminds us of them everyday.

God has left us innumerable tokens of His affection for us.

How can we dare forget when we have so many Forget - Me - Nots around us daily.

Even though our friend is gone _ No man can be present with his friends as God is with US, His People.

Who forgot God?

Answer: Not strangers and heathen. NO!...MY PEOPLE. God has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

But! His People have forgotten Him DAYS WITHOUT NUMBER.

How long has it been since you were IN the HABIT of walking and talking with God?

Forgetting God CAN CAUSE us to lose our JOY, STRENGTH, PEACE and WATCHFULNESS.

Can a bride forget her attire?   for example look at the five foolish virgins. Matthew 25:1 -13

A brides attire is important to her. it marks her special day. so she spends days, weeks and months fussing and planning the day.

Does the value of things take away more and more the value of God?

Over the next couple days starting Monday the 17th May 2016, we are going to take a practical journey through prayer and relooking into Jeremiah 2:32.

The four statements.

1. Can a maid forget her ornaments?

2. Or a bride her attire?

3. My People have forgotten Me

4. Days Without Number

Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
